Personal training in Hamburg-Ottensen
Training with a physiotherapy background — particularly useful when the body has a history.
What it means with me
Personal training is not a prescribed remedy but a self-pay service. The difference from training with a fitness coach lies in the background: I come from physiotherapy and plan around previous injuries.
That is valuable precisely when a knee, a shoulder or a back has caused trouble before and you want to train anyway — or exactly because of it.
Who it suits
- when your prescription has run out but you want to continue
- when returning after a longer break
- with old injuries that keep interfering with training
- for climbers and boulderers wanting to work specifically on fingers, shoulders and trunk
- when you train at a gym but are unsure whether your technique is right
How it works
We start with a stocktake: goals, history, current capacity, available time. From that comes a plan with a defined training stimulus and documented weights — the same system I use in therapy.
We train together on the equipment and you take the plan away to continue. How often we meet depends on how much guidance you need.
Price and duration match equipment-based exercise therapy; the figures are in the price overview.
Practical matters
Personal training runs within the same treatment hours as everything else and is booked via Doctolib. A session takes longer than a prescribed treatment, because warm-up, training and a review all have to fit in.
As it is not covered by insurers, you need neither a prescription nor a referral — you can simply book. I tell you the cost in advance, and there is no multi-month contract.
If it turns out during training that something needs treatment, I will say so openly.
Billing
I treat patients with all statutory health insurers, private patients, employers’ liability insurance associations (BG) and self-payers.
Whether your treatment runs on a prescription or as a self-pay service, we clarify before the first appointment — you know in advance what to expect.
